Hello, i'm new here, I just bought a 98 Maxima GLE couple weeks ago from a private owner. He didn't have original keys (he had a key what looks like a copy to me it says "ilco" with some letters and numbers) nor did he have the keyless entry remote.
Anyway I was told by a family member that I should change the locks incase of anything, like say the guy has keys to the car or the remote or something.

Does anyone know where would I go to get new locks and how much on average it would cost to install new locks on a car?

Call a Mobile locksmith to redo your lock. I did mine a couple of years ago, a acura, it cost me around $125.

 

Is there a manual around here for this?

I know how to rekey house and commercial locks and done 100's of locks when I worked at lowes, car locks are similar but just would like to see a manual first on it.
