is there a difference between a 96 fed spec stock b pipe and a 97?

Do they have a o2 sensor hole?

I need to buy one but there is only a 96 avaliable.

Yes there is a difference. The 97 has the small s pipe extention after the cat. it houses the o2 sensor. the s pipe when bolted to the b pipe is the same length as any other 4th gen b pipe.

If you want to use the 96 pipe on you 97 youll have to get a bung welded in for the rear o2.

 

If theres only a 96 available, DO NOT GET IT!!!! I just had the same problem, The 96 does NOT have a O2 sensor after the CAT and the 97's DO have one, unless you want to pay to have a flange made along with an O2 sensor bung, I say wait until the 97 are available...

Why don't you just buy a b-pipe from Budget?. It's probably cheaper than OEM and will add 5 or 6 HP.

 

I already have a B pipe and Muffler from OBX. I acutally want a quite stock exhaust.

 

Is there a difference between a 99 and a 97? Can i use a 99 stock B pipe? do the O2 sensor holes match?
