How much better with SE springs?

I have a 4th gen maxima gle I was wondering how much of a handling difference would I have with 4th gen springs? I have some good performance tires and a fstb on, would the cheap price of the SE springs do me any good or am I just wasting my time?

I say you upgrade to a true lowering spring to help combat the floatiness of stock maximas...pick something like Eibachs, H&R, Progress...any of the big name brands will do great...and definitely increase your handling, while retaining a fair amount of suspension travel...make sure you pair it up with a quality damper such as Tokico Illumina or Koni Yellows

If you would read the sticky at the top of this forum you would realize your question is out of place. Please have it moved to the 4th gen forum. Thank you.

It's a bit more technically-oriented than most spring questions on general-interest internet message boards tend to be (IOW, it's focus is not on "how much drop") so . . .

Without knowing the rates involved, or even having to, I'd guess if there isn't at least a 20% increase going from your current OE springs to whatever you have in mind that it's not going to be worth it from a performance-only standpoint. However, it may be a decent compromise if there aren't any plans to push the car's character very far into the hardcore realm.

ww - I don't think you can put any single number on "handling improvement", as that includes both the lateral g capability and the subjective "feel" as you get there. But if 20% stiffer springs gained you 5% to 7% more ultimate lateral grip and 12% to 15% less roll in any given turn, would that represent a good deal to you individually?
