Tokico vs. H&R springs - Anybody have experience with both?

Can anyone make comparison based on experience with Tokico springs vs. H&R? They will be paired with Illuminas on a 4th Gen auto. I'm not concerned with cosmetics, I want a comparison/contrast of their ride/handling capabilities from anyone who's used both.

If you would read the sticky at the top of this forum you would realize your question is out of place. Please have it moved to the 4th gen forum. Thank you.

As Nick said, you'd be more likely to get an answer in the 4th gen forum, since you have a bigger audience......that, and the question is out of place in here.

Ummm, it is a valid question here, given the way that it was phrased.

Although I don't have direct experience with either, there's at least one discussion involving "brand "T" springs on another FWD car forum that suggests that they won't work very well if you have much stereo gear in the trunk or Dallas Cowboys sized people in the back seat on a regular basis. As noted in the post above, not enough rate for the drop to cover many of the loading conditions that your car might see.

Thanks for not being an a$$ today and for giving me a straightforward answer to my question. It's appreciated. However, feel free to be an a$$ anytime you like, it seems to be par for the course at this forum and I've learned to just ignore it and keep on sifting through the BS until I get a straight answer from someone.

Thanks Norm. Even though you don't have personal experience with either, your insight proves to be helpful to me as well.

To anyone else who has an inclination to expend time and energy posting anything other than an answer to the obviously misplaced question, it's not really necessary for you to do so. You can if you want though if it makes you feel better. Either that or you could simply ignore this thread altogether. Or if you are a moderator and you feel personally offended that I posted this question here in what seems to be the wrong place, feel free to post about it, lock it, move it, or delete it entirely. Thanks for your help.

everyday crusing load..every bump with S-techs were hitting bumpstops....Tokicos will be a lilttle better than S-techs in that reguard but are stil known to be a softer spring...the drop is more than my progress springs which very rarely hit the stops

Help a tard

I'm a retard when it comes to springs.

I have a 2000 Infinti I30 A33. I dont really care about stiff cornering cus my car is like a rolling brick, but as far as a comfortable ride, what combination of springs/struts would you all recommend? I'd like to see it drop at least an inch, but really no more than 2.

Any links or info is appreciated.

look in the stickies at the top of the 5th generation Maxima (same as your car) section....there are two BIG suspension stickies.

Also, don't hijack other peoples' threads!
