Cattman suspension on order

The time has come. I placed an order with Brian Catts on Friday. Very nice and knowledgeable guy and pleasure to deal with.
We will be getting 4 Springs, RSB and full set of 4 KYB GR2s. Should be here sometime this week. I can't wait. I will keep you guys posted.

Should have asked if he can mount the springs on the front struts for you......... That would save you an hour worth of work.

I have the same setup, minus the struts on mine, which are on the way... I recieved 1 front and 1 rear strut so far. I really wish I knew what's happening with the other 2 struts. But I may sell them and get coilovers instead.

Not unless he has a spare upper spring perch. I had thought of doing that myself, having two complete sets of front strut/spring assemblys. It was too much of a pain to track down all the parts required. I decided to garge my car for the winter instead and drive a beater when the snow comes.

Get the Raceline endlinks for your new RSB while you are at it. They are in the group buy section for something like $45USD.

Also I was wondering if you would recommend a suspension set-up since you're very knowlegeable on the subject. I drive the Max in the winter...not much but still some. I would like a set-up where I can lower it in the summer and raise it in the winter (at the dealer...they're pretty good!) with out affecting the ride quality too much. I was thinking of a set of (4) coil-overs. I know that raising them and lowering them is a B$%#tch however do I have any other choices other than stealing a Mercedes's magnetic height adjustable suspension set-up! LOL!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Naw. Still using the OEM stuff for now. I had them replaced under warranty around the 2 year mark. So I'm likely good for another 2-3 years since I'm not using it in the winter.

$495 for the entire suspension set consisting of:

4 KYB GR2's (front and back)
4 Progress/Cattman springs (front and back)
1 Progress/Cattman Rear Sway bar

Let me clear the confusion about Progress/Cattman deal. Cattman devloped the springs (with help of Deus if remember correctly) and progess is making them for him.

I bought two sets of these for myself and my brother, we also got two sets of racing endlinks. RSB and springs already arrived. Front struts and rear shocks are still on the way. TAZ is supposed to send endlinks this week so I guess we'll do the whole install in about two weeks. We'll keep you updated and I hope all goes well with our mechanic dude installing it. I can build a computer or two but when it comes to auto work I'm GREEN

My car was the test car for the Cattman/Progress springs and RSB. Cattman sells springs manufactured by Progress. Does that clear up any confusion?

Finally got everything installed:
KYB GR2 - all around
Cattman/Progress Springs - all around
Drilled/Slotted Rotors - all around
Hawk HPS pads - all around
SS Lines - all around
Cattman/Progress RSB

The car feels and handles amazingly. It is just a tad stiffer but so solid all around like a brand new car. I haven't done any hard manuevers yet. I will on the way home form work. So far feels like a brand new car.

Looks nice, it doesn't look like the rear is as low as DRU 1's, I wonder why? I like your wheel gaps, they look even.

Indeed, the other guy's car looked lower in the back. Hmm, why is that?

That doesn't make sense. If it looks this much lower just because of a speaker box (which is not really heavy) What that hell is going to happen when you have 3 200Lbs individuals sitting in the back. I mean, is this designed so that you don't carry anything in the trunk or the back seats. Maybe some of us here have the car for themselves only but then there are other that sometimes have to have 5 peeps stuffed in the car.

Well no matter what springs you have in your car it will drop down quit a bit with 3 people in the back.....that shot also had all my old spring and struts still in the car....also the speaker box and speaker i have in there is prolly around 150lbs

mroleg....did you take a before and after messurment of your car to see what the actual drop was?

I used to have a 99 Mercury Cougar with a heavy a$$ enclosure in the back, and believe me when I had to lift that thing out a few times, you could tell the car sat much higher with it out.
