sounds like I have a BOV!

not too sure what is causing it, but if I have my A/C on and I'm at full throttle (or pretty close to it) and the car shifts, it goes PFFT!

is there a pressure bleed valve on the compressor that kicks in?

right now I sound like a ricer

seriously, you dont know what it is??? u know everything................

lol it does kinda sound like a bov, actually more like a belt squeel for 1 sec

if ur ac is on, and ur at WOT, the compressor turns off, for more power

so when you shift it kicks iback on really hard, thats what it is, i do it all the time.

but seems like it would be really hard on the ac clutch, it kicks in at like 5k rpm, cant be good for it.

wow how did i know that, idk i think i read it in the FSM

Dude you should be thinking of a way to amplify that sweet sound...

BTW My friends old Sentre SE-R made a supercharger sound when his engine would wined down, it turned out to be the alternator was going bad. It had a fairly high pitched sound which kinda sounds like a BOV. Not sure, it's your car you know more then I about where the noise is coming from.

I'm at work with no FSM handy to check if the compressor has a pressure relief valve.
BTW I did know about the compressor cut out, it's pretty common on most cars. But I've never heard the PFFT sound on any of my other ones.
I'm just worried about losing R12. I don't want to put R134a in my car.

Mine did the same exact thing before I got the UDP.

I wasn't sure if I was loosing r12 or not, so I would always hit the AC button off when I thought I was going to rev it hard. My AC still blows cold, but I haven't had that problem since I put on the UDP. I guess you need to get one
