Need a Nissan Part # for 2000-2003 Ventilator Assembly

Here is the part that I am talking about. http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...de=68750-VENTC I remember it used to be around $85 a few months ago. I was at my local Nissan dealer today, and for the same OEM GXE piece I was quoted $84. I just need the original Nissan part number to make sure the guy is talking about the same piece. Could anyone help me out on this one. Thank you in advance.

Andrei

call DaveB but i'm 100% sure they only make ONE GXE Vent kit for 00-03. There are no other options, its either the GXE kit or the SE/Bose/whatever kit. If u said vent kit that comes with the GXE maxima's, there's no other options but hit up DaveB not only for the part number but probably the best price on the kit as well. I paid around low 90's shipped for this thing, maybe prices have come down?

This is incorrect, the GXE vent has a frame extended from the vent assembly which makes for easy/clean aftermarket radio installation. The SE/GLE vents do not posess the frame as the head unit assembly shape on those models fills the entire center console and does not require a surrounding bezel.

If Nissan is anything like GM, parts catalog "names' can be wrong. I have seen a few online parts places that offer two different vent assembly options : GXE/SE around $60 - $65, GLE around $100 - $115.
See the following link - HERE

I would guess it's simply marked and illustrated incorectly in the catalog and the GLE and GXE should be switched. I'd hate to spend $65 to get the vent I already have.
The part number that kobalt posted comes up as the cheaper GXE for $65.
Has anyone actually ordered and gotten the correct panel to verify the part number?

I just double checked the part number in two seperate collision catalogs. However your best bet is to call a nissan dealership and give them the number just to be sure.

Agreed, but how is this incorrect? I did not disagree with your comment, I merely stated the GXE only has one type of trim while the SE/GLE have the bose cd player or basic version of it so the vents are different. Same story, if he goes to a dealership and asks for the vent for a GXE maxima, although its possible to custom make a GXE with bose system, the vent for GXE is still standard so they'll give him the right one no matter what. All he has to do is ask for GXE one.

Maybe I can clear things up-

68750-3Y200= SE/GLE/GXE w/C&C This is the part we all have on our cars which will not fit a single w/pocket or double-din HU.

68750-3Y110= This is the the "GXE Kit" which enables us to use a single-din HU w/pocket, or a double-din w/o pocket, I currently get $106 for it. It originally came on "base" 00-01 GXE's.

I do apologize - when responding to your post I was certain that you were claiming only one type of vent assembly. Upon rereading your post more carefully it is I who in fact stands corrected.
