Mobil1 Synthetic gear oil is not recommended for our transmissions.

From http://www.mobil.com/USA-English/Lub..._LS_75W-90.asp

It is recommended for differentials requiring GL-5 with limited slip, and it contains sulphur and phosphorus EP additives.

Because our trannys are designed for GL-4, and the synchros are not resistant to sulphur and phosphorus additives, you would be better off in the long run with a proper GL-4. Redline MT-90 is one of the few commonly available synthetic GL-4s.
