Cool, let me know your outcomes...You may have to deal with the compression ratios delicately. Make sure you do the fuel system upgrade and the engine management unit fixtures first.

awesome man, congratulations.
i noticed the part where you said it was missing at lower RPM and it was due to an exhaust leak near the egr bung. I dont have a 3.5 but i used to get this and im wondering is that strictly something that was a problem DUE to the 3.5 being swapped in?
i've got egr problems :-/

i talked to jwt awhile ago about the 3.5 swap, i also want to do a 5-speed conversion too while its all out. it shouldnt be a problem to run the bigger motor with his computer upgrade. at the time i didnt think about it being turboed but have since decided to go that route. it will be NA at first to work out any bugs that may come up. then after its running good i'll do the turbo.
its going to be a lot of work but in the end it should be one sick car, and definitely a sleeper

Chillin,
My exhaust leak is from the bung itself. It's leaking pretty bad at times. When this happens, the O2 sensor for that bank will read lower air/fuel levels than the other bank. This will create a situation that the ECU gets kinda foolish because while it's trying to add fuel, it's getting erratic results from the A/F readout. Thus, the whole rear bank cylinders are misfiring like crazy. If you have an exhaust leak there, best to repair or patch it up first. EGR guide tube leaks will give you misfiring faults below 4k rpms. I've searched and found out.

96Turbo,
If I'm doing the 3.5 swap, I wouldn't trust jwt to give me the right tune maps. They have their maps based on stock 3.0 and 3.5 motors, and in some cases, special tuning for cams and boost applications; they do not have tunes for hybrid swaps like ours; hybrid meaning 3.5 block with 3.0 timing. My N/A jwt 7200rpm ECU has misfiring issues because it'd gotten leaned out too much and creates an offtune combination for the setup. I'm running A/F guages for both O2 banks, and with just the stock ECU, the 3.5 A/F output is alot leaner than my 3.0 A/F output. I just don't think it can be leaned out too much more.

Greddy Emanage Ultimate is your best bet to go at this time. It's what I'm doing next.
