when painting the calipers...

i was wondering if painting them the spray type, would interfere with the brake system. I'm not sure exactly which parts should be painted, and which should. I dont' plan to remove the calipers either...so hmm...any advice would be appreciated.

I took them off the car, but I'm sure you can do it fine on the car also. I taped off all the rubber boots and the two holes for the bleeder screw and brake line.

No, you're fine painting it while still on the car. Just don't spray any on the brake pad and try avoid getting it on the rotor.

What will happen if get paint on the pads,and when getting new pads will i have to repaint the calipers

Most of it whould wear off when the pad hits the rotor, but your stopping power with the paint on won't be the same. You could slide right through an intersection.

No, you won't have to repaint the caliper when installing new pad.

I used a brush on FoliaTech paint kit, easy to apply, don't have to worry about painting the rotors and looks great.
