parts that can be re-used when working on suspension

i'm going down the list on http://staff.jccc.net/dlee/maxima/suspension/ and i know i can probably re-use the spacers and can definitely re-use the brackets. anything rubber I will replace, however the insulator strut, part# 54320-40U00 which lists for about $40 a piece is skewing the budget. can those be re-used?

yes, the upper strut components can all be re-used (bracket, rubber seat, strut isolator, etc).... Just make sure to check them for any unusual wear. Pay particular attention to the plastic "strut bearing" that sits between the upper spring perch and the upper mount and make sure that it hasn't cracked.

Replacing the upper nuts is not a bad idea, but certainly not required.

screw that online crap. Call DaveB. He'll find what you need and give you the best prices on them. I'm sure he'll also be happy to talk to you about what you should and should not replace....

Crazy97 - I don't remember stripping the top nut on my car, but then again I've worked so much on it and stripped so many nuts and bolts on it, I may have just forgotten It might also have been on someone else's car I was helping with
