carbon fiber hood hazy...re-clear?

I am having my car painted in about a week, and I told the guy I want to have my hood re-cleared because the hazy look is bothering me. I like the look of exposed carbon fiber but I don't want it to look like crap either. Basically I have a haze on the hood and it follows the skeleton of the hood. I was also thinking if I could have the guy mix a little paint in with the clear to kinda "tint" the clear, so if it did not get it all the way gone at least it would be some what coverd but I would still like to be able to see the weave. Anyone with experience with this? Thanks for any help.
