Want to do VB Mod and Tranny Cooler

Whats up guys, i just purchased a 2002 gle maxima, automatic. and i must say im very happy with its performance. However, i would like to preserve the life of my car, specifically the tranny. Im in CT..where can i purchase the VB Mod and Tranny cooler for cheap. I have searched the net for these but only get results pertaining to other vehicles. Also, where can i find a DIY for this..Dont start flaming about reading the stickies or anything, because i have attempted to find it up here, but im still waiting for my forum search privelage to kick in.

Thanks in advance guys, i appreciate it.

I may be purchasing a 2k with a VB installed. I dont like how hard the tranny shifts. Does this wear the tranny any more than a regular VB? How difficult is it to swap back to stock?

The process is the same as it would be for the 5g as it is for the 5.5g.

Only difference in the trannys is the gated shifter, all ratios are the same.

Just curious, but is this the same company that made the original 2k2/2k3 classic front lip?

The VB mod in short causes the transmission to shift harder, which in turn slips the clutches less and puts power to the wheels faster...basically allows the transmission to handle more power and get the car moving faster.

That's cool. Can someone explain to me the differences between a custom VB mod and a bolt on shift kit such as the Transgo RE4FO4B PSK for our max? Also, is a Transmission Cooler must-have with a VB mod?
