Please Help....my Headlight Looks Like Sh*t

Wussup Guys\

I just bought an headlight cleaning kit from pep boys, and i think it ruined my headlight. It come with 4 sanding papers(1000, 1500, 2000, and 2500)...i followed the instructions and did one by one starting with the 1000 grit one. when i was done scrubbing the dirt using the sand papers, i used the polish it gave me and water, cleaning sprays, etc.... However, it didnt take off the scratch marks, and made my headlight somewhat cloudy and not clear at all.

Does anyone know what i can use to bring my headlight back to life. i want to make it really clear, just like new.

P.S

I used turtle wax and that helped a little, however, it still seems "cloudy" and scratched up.....

I would greatly appreciate any help

Thank you

Veryhelpful....

He just did a version of that. What part did you read? You gonna have a man wetsand that shiznit again and further f%ck his lights up....because obviously

A) He did it and didnt get the desired results
B) He did it wrong and doesnt know what he is doing
C) All of the Above

Anyways dude, feel your headlight. Is it real smooth? Not gritty and scratchy? If it is use some MAG polish on it. It will say it is for metal, but go ahead and throw it on there. Then buff it off using a Mother's Powerball($20 and attaches to a drill).

If that doesnt work, rub vaseline on them and sell them on Ebay!

I used Novus (from taps plastics) luckily they are local for me, either way here is the link.
This stuff works like magic, and left my sun damaged headlights looking new.

I had the same cloudiness after the sanding and polishing. I ended up using a buffer with Maguir's Scratch-X and it looks like factory new now.

I JUST, I mean, like 5 mins ago, cleaned my 01 headlights with MaGuires PlastX. It costed me about $5 at Autozone. It cleaned them up from a dull, sunbeated look, to almost new. The guy at the store also said, and don't know it it will work or not, to put some shaving cream over them and wipe them down to prevent fogging, ect. I have not tried this but I might.

PlastX is definately a good investment for the $5, however it doesnt always work, dont use a high speed tool like a dremel, but a buffer will go a long ways. The sanding trick gets the best results though
