VQ30 Powered Wheelchair

I was watching some pimp my ride show on MTV and some dude builds powered wheelchairs. Mad Mike specifically called out the VQ30DE as the motor in this custom chair. Did anyone else see this last night?

WCC was bought out and the old crew from PMR split to make GAS.

That said, I sound like I watch E! or some crap. I'm going to kill myself now, but I need to find the most manly way to do it. I'm leaning toward chewing up a football and choking on it.

Actually West Coast Customs is still around, but the contract with MTV was cancelled for season 2. Now the show is being made with Galpin Auto Sports a customizing division of Galpin ( huge dealer out here) http://www.galpinautosports.com/
I am bored sorry but no crew split to make a new shop E is crazy, BTW I got all this info from Power 106. And Mad Mike probably just begged MTV to keep his a$$.

What? No. West Coast Customs signed a deal with Discovery Channel because they didn't like the image that they were getting with MTV. MTV controlled too much of the show and made WCC do things that they normally don't do. WCC's talents are taking a normal car, and modifiying it's chassis to make it a coupe (Chrysler 300C). They didn't renew their contract with MTV, and so what happened was MTV looked to Gaplin Auto instead. But Gaplin didn't have an electronics wiz as bright as Mad Mike, so they made him and offer and hired him.

Indeed. I think they just recently starting shooting their show for Discovery. It's going to be along the lines of American Chopper OCC and American Hot Rod, basically. =)

That would be a weird topic of conversation, though. "So you got that VI on your wheelchair, yet?"

I look forward to that. i could tell their talents were wasted on that ridiculous show. I'm surprised they were able to let their name get run down like that by making those contraptions for chump change with MTV.

You can see how much they are humbling themselves when you look at the VW bug van they did, then look at the 300c coupe.
