Hi all, i'm driving in the rain with my wipers on and all is well, when all of a sudden the left windshield wiper stops working, but the right wiper still works fine. I don't think it's the motor because the right wiper arm still moves fine, but the left one doesn't work at all. I can move it up and down freely with my hand too. What could be the problem? Is there a connecting rod that broke off or something?

 

It should have something to do with the nut that holds the wiper blade on to the linkage. Also when you remove it check the little splines in it to make sure theyre not ripped off. Also fyi if you havnt removed the wiper arm, take the nut off and push down on the wiper arm while lifting it, or else it is very difficult to take off

 

Must be one of the linkages, might be something as simple as a loose bolt that came off.
