Ebay Kyb Gr2 Struts

Hey,
I found a set (4) of front and rear KYB GR2 struts on ebay for only $222 shipped. As always, i was wondering if ebay was a good way to go with tis kind of product. Does this seem legit. If it does, how good are the KYB GR2 struts? Any input would be great! TIA

Also, can i use these "stock" performance struts if i want to put a 2" inch drop with coilover springs?

Legit. Buy them from jdmwerks13. I got my Illuminas from them and they were factory perfect and shipped quickly. I'd definately recommend Illuminas over GR2's, but they cost a lot more. Good luck.

Havent heard of a case when it wasnt legit.

some have paired up the gr-2s with S-techs or sprint. I cant remember how they liked the ride but its been done a decent amount.

the universal suggestion is to get illuminas or agx when running 2" or lower springs

Do not drop the car if you plan on putting GR2s on. Not even 1.5" (like my dumba$$ did). I thought GR2s would handle eibach springs... but when I did that I didn't really know what I was doing. (not that I do now, but at least I've gained a little experience right?). AGX are not that much more if you can't afford the illuminas.

Don't know about the GR2's, but I got a set of KYB AGX shocks and struts on ebay. No problems. I am running these with 1.6" lowered H&R's. Handles great with a reasonable ride, though definitely stiffer than stock.

I agree, certain things we can cheap out on and get away with it, but this is the ride quality of your car, best bet would be save up and get a good quality setup. You dont want to go the cheap route and you end up with a harsh uncomfortable ride that makes you not want to drive. Do it right the first time, its more costly if you dont.

I recently got gr2's on the rear, because i have no plans to go lower. Got them off of Amazon's vendor (i had amazon gift money and, whaddya know, they sell gr2's). Problem was, they both failed in 3 weeks, making my situation a little difficult. Found a way to get them changed under warranty, but i was lucky. Go with trusted vendor only IMO. BTW they are a little stiffer than stock SE on stock springs, but they work well.

I have seen something like this before....
except it was "it gives your car the handling of a shopping cart"

I got my GR-2s off of the other guy selling for 198$, I picked it up locally so it came out to be like 215$ with tax

I have GR2s and dropped with no issues and San Diego roads aren't the greatest either. However the only problem I've noticed is that I have an axle issue after I lowered her and I know of several Maxima guys whose had that problem.
