Sorry for the repost, but I would like a response of yay or nay. Anyway, I had my Tranny flushed as well as my PS system flushed. When I came back to get the car it dawned on me that I had read that my 99 max uses atf in the ps system. The tech showed me that he used this http://www.run-ritestore.com/Detail.bok?no=17 and said that he uses it all the time in Maximas with no problem and not to worry. It says on the bottle, compatible with MOST imports. He said that when it says MOST imports, that it means excluding crazy imports like a porsche or Benz, and that my max was perfectly safe. Now I am biting my nails. I will tell you this however, my steering is nice and tight with no slack in it like before, but i attribute this to most likely an air bubble possibly being taken out. No problems thus far. I drove the car around for about 20 miles today and it fealt great. Is this stuff okay?
Thanks fellow 4th genners.

i have never heard of nissans haveing any special requirements on PS fluid, hondas do, and the back of a lot of PS bottles say not for use in honda systems, i have never seen anything about nissan, i have had an altima, 200sx, 240sx, messed with my cousins Z and my current max, i have used generic fluids in all of these except never had to put anything in the 200sx. i would say that you are fine.

That stuff is fine, we use it all the time in generic PS systems.
There are only a few cars with systems that require specific fluids.
Honda being one of them, Bently another.
