In the trunk

I believe it is n the trunk behind the antenna motor. I would search the forum some more. I believe there are some more details in the forum about it.

I'm pretty sure it has an antennae in the trunk near the radio antennae, cuz i saw it when I changed the antennae. Thus, I suspect it is near the radio antennae.

It is behind the trunk lining...it is not just sitting in plain view. Look on the passenger side, behind the lining in the trunk. You should see it there.

If you want some more range out of the key fob, just touch the fob to your chin and then press the button of your choice. It sounds weird and looks funny, but it works. Somehow, the fob uses your body as an antenna and has the possibility of almost doubling the range. Try it, it works!!!

hehehehehe maxima obsessed @ 750 posts.
I wonder what the next level is?

Actually, my remote does work from about 200 feet away.

What's the difference from touching the end of your chin and holding it in your hand?

There should be a silver box in the trunk on the right behind the trim panel.
Before you do all that, make sure the battery in your remote is fresh???

following up on the issue of the remote sensor,
is that going to be the same unit responsible for flash of lights when locking the car?
because mine doesnt do it at all, so i was wondering if that is it and it can be replaced or is there a fuse i am missing?

I remember reading it somewhere and I thought it was silly. I tried it and it worked. I was amazed.
I think it was in an ALPINE auto security system owners manual, but don't quote me.
