i just installed my motostorm crankshaft pulley. it makes noise, i held a screwdriver to a place in the block near it and hear a whirling/grinding sound. it sounds like a bearing is shot but how would it coincidentally happen to do that when i installed the new pulley?

 

What bearing would that be?

Could be increased belt noise....

 

Is it the idler pulley? Did you tighten it down too much when you re-installed your new belts?

 

i installed the same pully with no problems, it could be the belts?
you did get new smaller blets and tighten them properly right?

 

Did you remove the idler pully during the install??? did you reinstall the washer on it the correct side out???
