Hole in one of my rear dust boots

The hole is not even 1/4" diameter.. is it necessary to change this dust boot? will not changing it cause damage to my shock piston?

There are people who dont even run them. My stock dust boots were shredded and they were fine. No big deal.

I wouldnt worry about it at all. One of my rears is ripped but no probs.

my rear dust boots are basically about 15 seperate rubber rings just hanging in there....need to replace those joints before winter salt!
