I've had my LCA's replaced along with sway bar endlinks. I've noticed that the sway bar seems to be under some tension i.e the endlinks seem to be exerting pressure backwards, causing a tilt on the sway bar. Is this normal? I'm lowered on Eibachs, just wondering if the drop causes this? I've noticed the car seems sensitive to road imperfections even after the inner tie rod has been replaced & an alignment done. I'll try to get pics later.

 

Are we talking the car being jacked up or sitting on the ground?

 

Hey, I'm not too sure about the lower control arms, but the endlinks should have some tension on them (but not soo much that the poly/rubber bushings are deflecting out of the washers.) Also, the new end links I'm assuming came with poly-urethane bushings? these will drastically tighted up any front sway bar setup. Do you know what kind of End Links you got? I'm looking to pick some up after work today...

 

I think all bets are off it you are lowered on it looking like its supposed to. Sounds a lot what mine looks like. Im on Tokico Springs and Struts.

Yeah, just what I was thinking, we both have about the same drop.
I was kinda wondering if I loaded the suspension & tried to loosen the endlinks then tighten them again, whether it would make a difference. I'm almost 100% sure the mechanic installed them while the car was unloaded.

 

I dont think it will make much of a difference, but you can try it.

 

your sway bar links have nothing to do with you feeling road imperfections. im about 99.9 + .1% sure its your drop and your rims doing that.

 

where did u get the control arms from

 

Lowered suspension setups put the sway bar up a bit causing the end link tops to sit on the sway bar slightly cocked. Thats completely normal and will not hamper handling in any way.

Road imperfections are amplified from your low profile performance tires. The car will follow groves and ruts because of the stiff sidewalls. Put a set of stock wheels and tires back on and all of that goes away.

There's probably nothing wrong with your car.
