Does anyone know how to make your 2K or 2K1 Maxima headlights into the Anniversary style headlights? Carlamps.com wants $300 for a pair of AE headlights.

For both? Was it easy to install? Is there a way to say vinyl/paint the inside of the headlight assembly to look like the AE headlight system?

The body shop ordered them when my car was vandalized(sp?) and on the invoice it said "AE headlight" it didnt say individual or pair so I really dont know. All I know is it said $210.32, but that also might be the body shops price.

I would wait for the 2002 HID headlamps if I were you. They look like they will fit. They will cost a lot more, but it's worth it to me.

Unfortunatly the wire harness will not support 2002 lights.

They draw less power than stock Halogen(~35W) though. The plugs and all that will be differnt of course, but even so, I will be able to wire them using any proper gauge wire and some fuses. I just need the bulbs, balasts, etc... It helps that I'm pretty good with electrical stuff, but until I attempt such an install I won't know for sure.

I just think it is worth waiting and the extra money to have dual element headlamps, so I'll have low AND high beams.

Man its gonna take extensive rewiring and money to make it work. I think you would be better off just buying the housings and some hid kit and rigging it up that way. I hear the new lights are going to cost over 1200 bucks for the pair.... not worth it at all....

I doubt they could get that much for HIDs on a Maxima. Merceedes, BMW, etc.. maybe. Not a Maxima. Considering my friend just got a Lexus RX300($35,400+tax ONLY!!!) withOUT HIDs and they were only a $500 option. The headlamp housings would be around $300, if they are approximately the same price as the ones currently on the 5th gen. I'd try and find a pair of housings from a crashed 6th gen(5.5 gen really) Max. Anyways, if it was over $1000 total, I'd definitely go with the Panasonic setup you have.

Adam, If yo-its-ok or whoever had to modify the Panasonic kits himself to get it to work in the Max, then where are you getting the kits so they are already modded to work? Not sure how the process works, but I'm just wondering if the kits you are selling are IDENTICAL to what you have. Damn they look sweet!
