Ht Subwoofer Finished 56k.. i would think twice

A continuation of my MTM Speaker project.. found here ( http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=490452 )

I wanted to build a subwoofer to complement them. In the beggining I had an interesting idea.
My subwoofer design was as follows:

The final result has the same dimensions but I didn't use the spiral thingy you see.

The idea was to cut out about 42 of these spiral thingies out of 1/4" mdf. They look like this:

When they are cut out.. turn each one 15 degrees and keep stacking. The result is a spiral like

staircase which would act like a horn. The effect would be similar to a loudspeaker PA thing.

Unfortunately.. as I do not have a router.. this would have taken a ridiculously long time (42 of

them). I basically went sealed. The subwoofer is in the top portion of the box (which is 1/2 a

cube) and the amplifier (300w plate amp [Bash 300]) is in the bottom portion.

The Subwoofer is a 9kv.2 that I bought from Elemental Designs (yeah I really like them lol) for

50 bucks on a group deal http://www.edesignaudio.com

The subwoofer is wired in series to present a 4 ohm load.

This is the circle drawn out on the mdf
All Mdf is 3/4" btw..

This is the cutout for the amplifier

Piecing it together
