Removing Headlights --- NOT HID --- on a 2k1

So, this weekend I tried removing my headlights to sand and them and polish and to also try to do the AE mod.

I could not remove them for some reason... I unscrew them and full straight out but the back LIP on the assembly hits the bumper on the grill side when trying to remove. Is there a special trick to this?

If you don't want to write it here because it could be somehow similar to the manner in which a 2k2-3 assembly is done just PM me or e-mail me. rmd0311@yahoo.com.

Very annoying.

Let me know...

Just work it around a bit. Up and down and side to side while pulling out. Other than the 2 bolts its just a plastic clip on the bottom thats holding the headlight in place.

No it's not. There's a tempered bolt inside a plastic grommet-thingie on the fender side.
