A34 Owner : 350Z I/M ?

Would using the 350z Intake manifold gain anything ? Would it clear hood clearence or would I have problems ? or just I just keep it OEM ?

As for Mods, im debating, so I have non so far. If the Manifold fits I might consider Headers/ Cams setup , Just being curious. Thanks.

Personally, I'd pass on it. It's great for high end, but without all the extras your car doesn't have (vs. a 350Z) I don't think you'll really gain much from it (you will, but not like you'd want, I assume). I wouldn't want to lose torque in that heavy A34, either.

I'm not saying don't do it, by all means, be a pioneer and prove me wrong (no sarcasm).

Put it in a Z32. I've always wanted to see that swap done to an NA Z32. I just think it'd be so cool.

Z33 Manifold

Too many people on this forum want an intake mod that will give them 50horsepower across the board. It won't happen on a VQ nor on any other engine unless the orignal intake was seriously restricting . I did my own z33 intake, dynoed, and shared my results to the org.

I gained between 3-8hp between 2500 and 3200 rpm, lost about 10hp at 4300 rpm and had an increase of 20 hp at 6200.

I ported and polished my manifold and added a Motordyne Spacer. On my 4th gen, it required dropping the powertrain 1/2".

Mods: VQ35DE, JWT ECU, STOCK VQ30 HEADERS, MAGNAFLOW MUFF

Green line: Stock FWD VQ35DE IM
Red/Blue: Z33 and playing with A/F for max power and torque

most likely imma do a Z32 .. more engine room as well as a chance of going boost. S13-14s are getting a bit played out .. esp since I had 4 before .

imma try to find a cheap z32 and do the VQ swap
