End of bad starting woes!

well i replaced my starter after all the grindin noises and bad failed cold starts I ve been experiencing in the last year I was sick of it , so I changed the starter cleaned the throttle body and plate and changed my place racing cold setup back to short cai style and replaced the old cone style filter with a new one for the winter which is good because of all the new england winter rains and snow. but any way....... the combination of cleaning the t.b and changing the starter and putting in a new fresh filter cone, the old one looked so dirty and clogged with only about 10k or so (heh go figure N.E. weather) so now the starts sound almost turbo charged it starts crisp and clean sounding! ( that grindin was freakin embarrasing ) hope this helps

Good for you man. I think I might have finally fixed mine too. I changed just about everything except the ignition switch that is until today when i did so and let me tell you what a difference. It doesn't even crank it starts so quick. I hope this crusade has finally come to a end!

I think it's time for me to replace my starter also. It hesitates like crazy while cranking. It's embarrasing when I leave places cause it makes my car sound like a POS when I start it.
