How can I remedy this?

I now have a little "crater" on my passenger side rear door with white paint scuff marks.

What a weasel!

Is there any way of "popping" this back out or am I dreaming?

I resemble that remark...

I know a few people that have had great results with paintless dent removal. It usually costs about $75. What I would do is see if you can buff out the paint that he left and call one of those places to see if they can pop it back out, if its in the middle of the door chances are they can.

I have had some dings repaired by a "paintless" body shop here called "Mr. X-A-Dent". They did one ding for $65 once and removed 3 dings for $85 on another visit.

They use some sort of tool from behind the body panel and tap it out. I had to compound and buff the paint on one, but the others were virtually invisable. As long as the paint is not chipped, they sould be able to fix it for you.

I know another remedy. Park as far as you can from other vehicles specially old ones and suv's and you will notice that you won't get as much dings. I do it all the time and it works for me. Even if I have to walk 5 minutes extra.

Welcome to the club. IMHO I would not spend $65 - $100 on a tiny little door ding. I would buy some more mods for the money. I have 3 dings now. Two of them were caused by my own other car (funny). My little nephew opened the door of my ford on my Max the first time and my little niece did the same thing so I have two dings caused by my own car. All the three times I had the white stuff that you are talking about. I have the Nissan Clear coat polish that I bought when I bought the car. That thing buffs out the white stuff like it was never there. Now if you insist on getting it removed, then it is not economically good to get one ding removed because all those paintless ding removal people charge like $75 for the first one and then $10 - $15 per ding for the next ones. So wait till you get more like I am doing. Dings are a fact of life !!!

I have 3 dings too and they really annoy me. Now, when I stoped modding my car maybe I'll call Dent Wizard and get those dings fixed.

Those dings drive me crazy! If they are on the passenger side, I wait till I have a few, but if they are on the driver's side I gotta have them fixed right away; I can't stand looking at them every time I walk over to my car.

As far as I am concerned, it's just another maintanance cost. People are usually surprised when I tell them my car is a '95; they can't believe it's that old. I attribute most of that to the fact that I don't have any dings down the sides.

Does in or around NYC (yo_its_ok, dsmercado) know a place where I can get paintless dent repair done without costing an arm and a leg? My dad's max has more dings than a dinner bell.
