weird alarm issue
weird alarm issue
hey guys,
i had to take out my battery yesterday to put in my super cool hyper white clearance light, when i was putting it back in the terminals were sparking quite a bit, is this normal? i cleaned them a little with a rag
to make things worse, last night my factory security alarm was engaged and i couldn't start the car (the light was lit up next to the clock)
i disconnected the battery again to reset it and i got it started
the security light was flashing dimmly all the way home though, any ideas about this?
i have an aftermarket alarm too, but it turned off when i told it to

You have a factory AND an after market alarm? WTF? Why not get rid of the factory one and just have the better aftermarket?
You might want to check relays/fuses, all that good stuff.
If you disconnected the POS + side of the battery, it will spark when you put it back on. Thats why I take off the negative side. I believe there is a inline fuse attached really close to the positive side of the battery, check that.
