SES light on then off
Ok... so my SES light comes on... so i get the code pulled and figure the since i can't do it (P0011 P0021) then i might as well have the dealer do it for me.... so i make an appointment for the following week.... on the way to the deal the light comes off .... i get to the dealer and they say they can't do anything because the lights no longer and and need to be on again for them to read the codes.... whats the deal with this?? why would the light go off and aren't the code stored somewhere anyway??

Similar thing here... seemed that every other tank of gas the light would come on or go off. Dealer said it was a cracked evap cannister. Ordered one from Dave B for $140, took 10 minutes to replace... no more ses. Disclaimer: your gas cap can trigger the same symptoms. That's a $14 part.

Same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago... Light would come on for like 3 days, then go off for a couple, back and forth for like a month. I finally took it to the dealer. They were still able to pull the code though even though the light wasn't on. They said that the code is stored in the ECU even though the light isn't on so long as the ECU isn't reset. Come to find out it was 2 of 3 faulty O2s...
Hope it helps.
