New Motor Mounts?

Hey all,

For a little over a year, I think, My max hashad this weird vibration. Around 2-3k when I am cruising on the highway, I can feel engine vibration through the wheel. Let me explain. Ya know how when your car is on the highway and you hit a bump in the road and your car dips and rebounds a little? I seems like my car vibrates when the car dips and then when it levels off again, the vibration subsides. When I press on the gas I get the vibration as well. I know that these are not Lexi, but I believe that my car was smoother when I got it. I mean, when they first reviewed the maxima a32 they had so much praise for the silky motor, and I don't seem to have it when the car is moving. Now when the car is in park with no load, you can barely feel it running, so i don't think its an internal problem. I have Autor rx'd the crankcase, seafoamed the intake, cleaned the intake manualy, and ran techron through the fuel system. The motor is strong and runs extremely well, so that is why I am thinking mounts.

Today I was at my mechanic, and I ususally deal with the boss, but he was not in today. ( I had to have my brake shim reset as it was falling out). Anyway, one of the techs there and I took a look at the mounts briefly. I sat ion the car and hit the gas a little while braking so the tech could see th movement of the engine. he told me that he thinks all 3 are "bad" in that they are too "soft" and the engine has a lot of movement. Just how muchmovement is normal? one inch back and forth? two inches? three? I dunno. Is he just trying to ? These things are expensive! But I want my max to be like silk again. Sometimes it feels like I am driving a truck and not a vq powered max. Any thoughts or opinions? I also read that they don't make the electroically controlled mount for se's a nd gle's anymore WTF?! Thanks BTW- car has about 80k

movement should be normal. an inch or so. i dont remember on the max but most cars have 2 motors and 1 trans. trans on the right side. 1 upper mount and 1 lower mount. Check to see if one of the bolts snapped? i told a customer one time that his left mount was shot and wasn't able to hold the engine thats why it would vibate and when i went to remove it the bolt was snapped in 2 peices. so the mount was fine but the bolt was broken. but the way it was broken forced me to replace the mount.
