water pump in VQ20DE vs VQ30DE

my friend just replaced his water pump, and now he has to put all timing things together but he cant find a book to 2.0 liter VQ.
Can he use 3.0 haynes manual to fix his engine? Is it big difference between those 2 engines??

He can use the haynes manual. DAVEB confirmed that the timing equipment is the same between the 2.0 and 3.0
