Heated Rear Seat LED

My right, rear passenger's heated seat button won't light up but the seat heater works. The dealer said they have to order the part and will call me when it comes in. Is it simply a bulb replacement? Anybody know how to replace it and which bulb works best?

Thanks. I have to call them to see if it came in yet. Since it's just a bulb I'll try to replace it myself. No need to pay labor on such a minor things. Thanks again.

I called the dealer last night and he said that the bulb is actually part of the switch itself, so they have to replace the whole thing. He said that they ordered a new switch assembly.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that coming from a dealership. Anyhow, people have replaced their burned out orange LED with different color once. From what I remember, 3 mm LED is the one that fits in there.

Your back seats are heated? How did you manage that?

An option on the I35's was a cold weather package that included heated steering wheel and heated rear seats. It makes a huge difference in the winter time IMO. It's actually why I searched for an I35 over other makes. The features are top notch.

I ended up having the dealer replace the switch. It was at no cost under the extended warranty.

I hate to hijack this thread, but I am very curious, it would be sweet to have rear heated seats on my 2000 I30T .

Oh... I don't want to remove the leather, I thought just removing the seats would do the trick, oh well.
