How do we remove the factory cassette from dash?

I want to install a new stereo in my car and want to know where nissan hid the screws that hold the old cassete player in place. Any tips are welcome.

Search for details, here's the short of it:

1. remove the cup from your ashtray
2. pry up the trim around your shifter, if its an auto you'll need to get the shift lock disengaged so don't do this while driving
3. pull the vent above the stereo out (if you have bose or the mid level radio, for GXE... I dunno) its kinda tough you want to pull up and out... some people have mentioned screws holding it in.. mine had none.
4. There are 4 screws holding in the stereo and climate controls, undo them
5. extract the stereo and replace you can either use the crutchfield kit or buy the GXE a/c ventilator kit if you don't have a gxe already

use search to find pictures as well

I think those instructions are for 4th gen. I am not sure if they still hold for our cars.........



Search for details, here's the short of it:
