wondering if anyone has done this???

i wanted to get clear lights for the whole front of my car. rather than buying blacked lights. i wanted to know if anyone had taken apart the lights and spay painted the crome reflector part black, and how did it come out?

i read the stickies but i dont recall seeing anything about painting the front lights to make them have a black backround but still light up orange

thanks, could i do that with the bumper lights also? would i be able to use night shade to acheive a tinted look rather than a blacked out look?

even though I criticised the poster I'll post some information so he gets what he's looking for.

So, you know how to AE headlights now, thats the first step. I belive the bumper lights are not constructed in the same way as headlights. What most people do is get VHT Nightshades, found at customenterprises.com and tint their bumper lights if they want to black them out.

The bumper lights very well could be opened up, I'm not sure but I don't believe that painting the inside would change the look that much since the clear plastic isn't extremely transparent.

You can spray the outside of the bumper lights and they look pretty good.
