It is starting at 25k...And hey it might be only running 14's but it is highly capable of pulling 13's easy.Plus there is so much custom work done on that car it is sick.Craig really went all out on that car. There is 75k invested. So that really isnt right to call it a slow *** car.How would you feel if someone said that about your Max? You would probably get pretty ****ed off.All in all it is a sweet car.

That was a misprint I meant starting at 25k on ebay Monday.I am sure with a smaller pulley and some of the weight removed that car would run 13's no problem!Just wait and see it on Monday up for bid on ebay.

It only runs a 14.5 and its super charged, thats slow! I'm only 3 tenths behind and some 5th gens match that with basic bolt ons.

I'm sure its a nice looking show car, but I'm more into go than show.

Oh yea, and if some one said my car was slow they would have to put up or shut up. If they race me and win then they have the right to call me slow, otherwise shut the F up!!!

well you gotta rember it was the ONLY AUTOMATIC car in the movie, and 14.5 sounds right with stock pulley and heavy trunk.

Why would Craig want to sell the max if he put so much $$$ into it? Maybe he thinks he could make money on it since it's so popular and recognized because of the movie. That, or the stunt drivers must of F'ed the car up when shooting the movie.

i don't neither the jetta or the max are autos, those were so pretty sick burn outs, if they did do neutral drops, they don't deserve those cars!

i thought about that one with the burnout, and they probably soaked the tires in something... i remember people saying that if you put bleach on them you can make a smoke show, something like that... it had to be something to make it slick, and the tires were probably pretty bald

actually if you think about it, it shouldn't be that hard. That car weighs 3800 pounds and he's supercharged. So burnouts like that should be prey easy even with auto tranny.

me and my friends used to put clorox bleach where we would do burn outs, it helps make a bigger and whiter smoke cloud.. no joke.. it makes it all slippery.

I was surprised as hell too, but the car is on Ebay for like 60 grand. It's a 4 cyl auto with direct NOS and crazy custom work in stereo and electronics..

There are always ways of doing nice burnouts in Hollywood.... If you guys paid attention, they had a really close shot of the Max when the tires were smoking, it didn't show even half of the car in that shot during the prime of the smoke.... It's quite possible it had a "stunt double" or something....

Did any of you guys notice that none of those cars purged their NOS before racing .. I mean in the movie its like they spent thousands on mod's yet were to cheap to buy a purge valve.. Ok, I'm not rich but when I bought my Zex kit I bought a purge kit (from NOS Inc). Just curious if anyone noticed it..
