Suggestions on custom exhaust components

I was thinking of piecing together a custom cat-back. But first, I've read that going 2.5" throughout may actually be overkill? Cattman and Frankencar are both 2.5", was there significant torque loss? Also, does anyone know what size resonator I should go with? 4" round and 14" long, 20" overall OK? or too small? Thanks for the help

P.S. Anyone know the OEM b-pipe resonator and muffler length?

ye, most aftermarket catbacks are 2.5 but i think its cause they consider buyers who have forced induction or other high end power mods and rest of the buyers thinks wider is better. 2.5 is ok but id say 2.25 is ideal.

i had a OBX wich was 2.5 and it did pull better at high end bu i like it stock. gains are mostly from the B-pipe. just get a y pipe and a b pipe if u really want, defenatly keep the stock muffler it flows very well (has a valve that opens at 2500rpms) and doesnt sound good with a y pipe, just an extra note but not too loud!

I try and keep my set-up as quiet as possible. Worth it to some, not to others, personal preference. and it will be cheaper than getting the entire CM catback.
