leaking iol neer camshaft position sensor

leaking oil near camshaft position sensor

today i noticed leaking oil near camshaft position sensor.
is it just bad o-ring or might be something alse??

My 97 I30 did the same thing. The o-ring came apart in my hand. It was very brittle. I took the sensor to the auto parts store and fitted a universal replacement o-ring out of a box of bulk o-rings. WALA, the leaked stopped. The easiest fix you will ever do.

any ideas how much is that o-ring at dealesship??

i doubt ull be able to buy it at the stealer... got to autozone and they should have one...

I fixed that problem by just snatching another CPS from the junkyard, problem still solved 2 yrs later.
