Cig. Power Converter

I wanna hook up a DVD player or an XBOX in my car. I got one of those cigerette power converters and it says you can use it for XBOX's, PS2, and ect. My question is that is it really a good idea to use that for power? It says it has short circuit protection, power load protection, ect. It says it gives a 100 watt continuous power.

What do you think? Good idea??

You should probably get an extra battery if you want to run x-box, dvds, and all that extra stuff. Then you can run power. If you use the stock battery then just splice into the 12v power.

I've had all that in my car and just ran a single battery, no problems at all.

Just make sure you don't go cheapo on the Inverter. The really cheap ones can mess things up.
