Did you try doing a tune up? That might help. Check for any codes even if the CEL isn't on. You might have ghost codes that don't trigger the CEL. I just don't understand how you fill up for 27 bucks? You use regular? even then it shouldn't come out to 27 for a full tank.

CEL? KS code? When last times plugs been replaced? Fuel filter? Brake calipers seized up causing drag?

Change Knock Sensor, being a 95 it might be due for one. also take your car to a garage and have them do an engine flush, clean the throttle body, and do a fuel system cleaning. make sure your air filter is clean... thats just the things that come off the top of my head. do all of that and if it doesnt help then you have a serious problem and need to take it to a reputable mechanic.

Hope this helps

So... i cheked the ECU for the CEL and found out i only have the code 04 01 (Intake Air Temp Sensor) because i took out that sensor to put my new intake.. is this causing the milage to be so bad (BTW i am at 1/4 of the tank and only drove for 108 miles and thats awfully bad). i will go ahead and try to do what you guys told me and see if it solves anything.

i dont wanna sound like a poor fellow or something. The thing is that i didnt got it on the CEL diagnostic. and since i read that the knock sensor cost a lot (or something that people always talk about) i dont wanna go and replace it and then find out that i didnt needed it.

DAAAAMMMMNNNNN.......... when i fill up my tank, i get 108 and my needle is still on the 3/4 mark..... and i thought i had bad gas milage.... did you do a V10 conversion?... j/k ok sorry this is too bad to be making jokes..... this is beyond bad... go to a shop and have your entire fuel system checked, you might have a leak in your fuel system.... with 140 miles per gallon, you better off investing your money in an entire gas station.....

On that kind of MPG, I think you are loosing gas, there may be some pinhole leak some where (check Gas Tank and line to fuel filter for leaks).

A leaking fuel injector would cause this too. Change your oil and if it comes out smelling like gas, STOP driving and fix the leaking injector ASAP. Gas + oil = no lubrication = spin a bearing.

Hook your MAF sensor back up

Seems like a pretty easy fix to me.

i know mi milage is bad. But something that i noticed (dont know if its important) is that when i drive to any place the cars fine and as soon as i stop and park i notice a white smoke coming out of where the gasoline is supposed to be burning y dont know if its leaking and then evaporating... just to let you know and by pure coincidence when my milage became that bad thats when it started hapening

ok. coolant temp sensor will definately cause bad gas mileage. disconnected IAT will cause bad gas mileage. if your new intake has no place for a IAT, just plug it in and let it hang there in the compartment, OR drill a hole in the pipe and mount it. but dont REMOVE it. if white smoke is coming from the tail pipe, sell it or park it and fix it.

If it's small amount of white smoke then it's probably coolant. I had MASSIVE amounts of white smoke coming out of the tail pipe when my injectors were leaking fuel. I was also getting 2mpg, but I didn't drive the car more than a few miles. If your problem is a leaking injector (o-ring seal or physical injector leak), DO NOT DRIVE ANYMORE. You need to fix that **** ASAP or you'll be in the shop swapping in a new engine real soon.

OMG i will send it to a mechanic right away to get it fix (maybe this weekend, because i cant be without the car) i dont want to damage the engine and the smoke is NOT alot firs i opened the trunk and since it was little i tought maybe is because is hot. so im going to get it inspected. also i am getting like 5 MPG

Do this also. Once all these items are taken care of, you should be fine.

The sensor that went in the filter tube is unpluged but the other one next to it (that goes in the little box next to the filter) is pluged in.

Check your plugs, my brother had the same problem on a VR4 and it was the plugs. They had never been replaced and were firing terrible.

If he wasnt having the issues before, than its pretty simple to say it is something he changed, ie the intake. Plugs, wires, etc arent very likely.

Wow. now that you mentioned i did not had these problem before the intake. what i did was i took the sensor from the OEM filter ans plug it and the CEL went off so i will go ahead and give it one more week to see if the milage is the same. I didnt think it was that because 3 or 4 days after i put the intake the white smoke came (only when i accelrated rapidly or when i went into the highway) so i thought that it was only because its hot. Didnt think it was from the simple intake but since the CEL came on with that code only i have that bad milage.

Best thing you can do is put the stock intake back on.

so.. im taking the car sunday to determine what my car has, but i noticed something now i was at the highway and goingo like 60mph i noticed that i have the gas pedal like i was on circuit, so i think that maybe it is the pistons? i dont know for sure also mi car shuted down last night and it was a good 48 seconds (not a lot but people where honking like crazy) so my CEL wasn't on but when the car shutted and i (after hard work) started it again the CEL came on with code 0908 that is... Engine coolant temperature sensor. and i wanted to know. Is that bad or something i should take care of. or better yet does it has something to do with my bad gas milage. Thanks

Get that changed. The car will continue to randomly shut off from a start and even cause the RPMs to dive down while driving.
