Max 05 Xenon Bulb size????

hey guys, i want to upgrade my Xenon bulb for a darker blue. I went to the stealership and the guy i spoke to was an idiot.

He said xenon bulbs all come in one size, just different colors....

It was right before they closed today and he was the only one left in the parts dept.... I left laughing.... I couldnt believe he was serious.... from this point on, i refuse to go to that dealership anymore.....

So guys, help me out here.... what size of bulbs are they and what brand would be the best to buy?

9012 is the halogen bulb not the xenon
I think the D2R is the proper xenon bulb for the vehicle. There are some .org members selling them in the group buy forums. Check with them. Be careful you don't go too blue. The actual light output decreases as you go upwards from 4300k. I'd suggest 6000k as the maximum. Remember the colour of light that others see is radically different from what you see from the drivers seat The maxima projectors do have lots of colour in them near the cuttoff anyways.

No. D2R is for HID reflector housings, and the light won't refract properly in a projector.

D2S is what you need.

he is right d2s. and by the way in a projector its kinda of difficult to go darker blue since at different angles the light varies in tone, due to the nature of the projector. and hids come in different temp ratings, down from yellow @ 3500k up to 4500k - OEM white/blue to 8000k - Super Blue and ending at 12000k or around - PURPLE HUE. so basically upgrade to 8000K hids in order to get a more true blue. keep in mind chances are your visibility will be reduced specially in rainy weather or foggy.

Has anyone actually replaced a Xenon bulb? Just the bulb. How much stuff has to be removed just to replace a bulb? A friend told me it was no easy task.
