who has put a tint strip across the top of there windshield? I am trying to dicide how big of a strip I should do.pictures would help

I just put one on mine last week. It's been my understanding that the law (and this varies from state to state) says 6 inches from the top of the windshield. Of course, as you are aware, we don't always adhere to those rules. My strip is 6 inches, but on the sides, it extends a bit further. Probably more like 8 or 9 inches, to be exact.

And whether you get hassled about it depends on how much of an @$$hole your friendly law enforcement official decides to be, too.
