Just did a quick search to see if I could find any pics of a 2k or 2k1 housing with retrofitted projectors, but it doesn't seem like anyone has done them. I realise that the housing is quite large and may look funny with a small 2.5" or 3" dia projector, however I think a set of Q45's would look great with some custom bezels.

Anyhow, does anyone have any pics that they can post of 2k or 2k1 oem housings with retrofitted projectors?

My other 3 options for headlamps right now are either to use 5.5 gen headlamps, retrofit projectors into 5.5 gen headlamps (costly), or retrofit quality projectors into those cheap ebay projector housings...though the latter looks sort of tacky and they do not fit well.

Dr.Roy did some for a 5th gen, so you might try to search his post. Looked pretty sick. He built one with a seperate high beam reflector.

I just finished working on the electrical wiring for the driver's side of my retrofit project. I finally made some time to get it done cuz I've been putting it off for a long time. I ran into some problems and need to get some spade connectors. I'm using Dr. Roy's "common ground" wiring setup. Hopefully I'll find some time to test it before I work on the passenger side headlight.

 

still finishing up my project, E55 projectors, painted reflector and CF bezel, led side turn signal in orange, and parking light white. and 2k2 outer clear cover, which I had to modify the stock 2k-1 headlamp housing for a slight bend in lower slots.

 

Id really like to see pics once you are finished.

 

I'll probably be starting this next year...LED tails are almost done. But, it's good to see some orger's doing this.

 

I am working on this, as well. I have E55 (04-06 Maxima) projectors I'm retroing into an extra set of 2000 housings. I just finished the wiring harness and need to actually fit the projector... After my last final is over next Wednesday..

 

I want to if I land a set of Q45 projectors and make the entire housings black ...But thats only a dream since those projectors would cost me and arm and leg.
