how to make your bose sound better for $0

I have nero (cd burning program) on my computer, and I been toying with it for awhile and trying different things on CDs and playing them in the car with the Bose. Well I found in nero, after you decide which songs to burn, you go to the properties. In my opinion, I found that increasing the stereo widening closer to 200% makes a noticeable difference, and according to your prefrences mess with the equalizer (i usually bump the low end bass a little and brighten up the highs some, and lower the mids to get the muddy sound out of the bose) dont press anything too high though, or you will get distortion. You can also SLIGHTLY higher the track volume. The last thing is (if this is your thing) is to add a little echo. Toy with that too, usually something around 30-50 milliseconds sounds good. Just makes the system LOUDER without distortion and brings out the music. try it out, im sure you'll like the results.

Any questions, email me at MaximaVQpower@aol.com

I use Nero Burning Rom 5.5. I'll give it a try. Now do you have any subs or are you entirely stock?

I am completely stock system wise..I just did the soundproofing mod for the sub..where i stuffed a bunch of home depot (in home) insulation under the rear deck panel. it makes the bass tighter and eliminates rattles. who needs dynomat? this is $10 and works just as good!

the best sound a Bose stereo can ever make is the sound of it landing in the bottom of a dumpster.

Doing what was stated to make the Bose sound better is like putting makeup on a fat hooker...

I've messed with this once before, but don't remember it doing much. I'll have to try again with what you suggested.

I don't get why sooo many people have such a strong hate towards the sound of bose in the maxima. Granted, i realized a huge difference after putting in a system of my own, but for stock i don't see how anyone can complain about it over the standard CD player in the maxima. We have had bose in all our vehicles (Audi, Infiniti, Trailblazer, maxima 2001, 95, & 91) but i do have to say that bose system in the 95 sounds better than all of them (though the 91 didn't have CD). I just can't see how anyone would rather take the crappy panasonic system over the bose in the 4th gen maxima...

you are comparing the 4th to 5th gen...huge difference. the 4th gen still sucks, but compared to the 5th gen bose it is alot better.
