Tint percentages
Tint percentages
Every shop around here that I have found only offers 20 and 35 percent. I had an accord with 20 all the way around when I was younger but that may be a tad too dark for my tastes now plus I'm a little less brave as far as getting trouble from the cops than I was then. Most shops are recommending 20 on the back and 35 on the front. Won't that look bad? Also, if I go 20 all the way around the various shops won't give the lifetime warranty. I'm thinking about not doing it at all now. Any suggestions? I know 35 all around isn't dark enough to be worth it.
If you think 20 is too dark for you, then get 35, its your car...i have 20 on my car and would not go a shade lighter. I had about 35 front and 20 back on my old car, and it wasn't that bad, but it looks a lot better when its all one color.
here's a pic, you can definatly tell its not one shade when looking at the car from the side

i understand what u mean, but the way i look at it is by the cars color... when i had my old red max. i had 25% had this charcol look to it.. i loved it. but since i got a Black max i wannt'd a Black tint so i went with 5%.. and it looks NICE....
and ya keep searchin shops, do it at a shop that gives lifetime warranty..

I got 20 percent put on mines back in september and it looks great and its really not that bad in the day time either. If you don't want 20, 35 still looks good. The only way it may look light is if your interior is a light color like tan.
its not too bad a difference... 20 and nothings are bad... (which I have) Before that I did the 35/20 But now since im not doing the fronts im going 0/5... If i cant have my front doors tinted im going pitch black in the back...
Tint tickets are pretty expensive, aren't they? Some of you have ***** of steel/deep pockets...
I'm getting 35 all round done tomorrow, how does it look on a dark car? (sagemist green pics would be AWESOME.)

Llumar Automotive Window Tinting: Still One of the Best
Llumar makes window tinting that isn't dyed, doesn't fade, and has a lifetime warranty. Many companies are out there today but I continue to have boring "Honda-like" reliability with Llumar brand window tinting.

ziebart 35% all the way around, lifetime warenty(sp?) it looks much darker on cloudy days
I had my Volvo tinted at 15% front and 20% rears, but I'll be changing that to 15% all around.
I just had the Maxima done the other day, and I did 15% all around. It's PERFECT.
Lifetime warranty applies too!

I've got 28% tint all the way around minus winshield.
The place I got it done at recommended the 28% since they only offered 35%, 28%, 18%, 15%, and 5%...They noted that the 18 and 15 might be too dark for me to see while driving at night.
It's the FormulaOne tint with a lifetime warranty from defects.
Only thing is they don't cover you if you get a ticket. Dark enough, and not as light as 35% which was too light in my opinion.

Whatever you pick I hope it goes well

Man, you guys are locky...FL is crazy about tints. I want a tint all around, but the law...haha I dont have money for tickets on a tint. Here's our law:
Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 28% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 15% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 15% of light in.
