Do these look like the Tein S Tech springs for 95-99 Maxima?

I'm looking into buying them but they don't look like any other advertised Tein S Tech spring for the 95-99 Maxima (Now I understand that most advertised pics are probably not application specific but still).

Thought I would confirm since they buyer was told that they where for 95-99 Maximas...and I'm sure that there are several that have at least seen them.

Why do you say they are POS?

It's either these, MaxSpeed or Zenn springs...which is the lesser of the evils? lol

those don't look like the tein stechs that i got. it might just be a generic pic, but in person, there's a brown wrap that goes over a couple coils at the ends of the springs and TEIN is printed on the springs.

But does the rear spring look like the one in the pic with a space around that middle coil?

Anyone have or know where some pics of these springs are to compare?

Thanks for everyones help. The person selling says that they are still in the box, unused, and the box says 95-99 Maxima so more than likely, I'll be fine. Wish I could get an actual pic though...

Just a random stock photo.

Jason, the Teins have an odd handling quality. They are fairly soft around town (too soft IMO) but as the spring is compressed the rate increases.

I am guessing you are going for moderately priced performance. Why buy new? Check around for some used Eibach's and AGX or Illuminas.

*The springs I mean, to do it right you may want brand new dampers.

Don't have the cash for struts/shocks right now. I'll get them eventually though.

Exactly! Look for the word TEIN printed on them (or painted). Theres knock-offs going around with an identicle TEIN logo that is merely a sticker slapped onto one of the coils. Beware.

The picture on TEINS WEBSITE looks nothing like our springs, this is not a new fact.

Just enjoy your 4x4 status for awhile and put a few bucks away a week for a setup.

Common sense interlude: If a spring is name-brand it will be advertised as such in order to sell for more.

Common sense conclusion: If you are going to start messing with something as crucial as (and as costly as) your suspension, you better be sure you doing things right the first time, otherwise you'll be crying into an empty wallet. Shabby quality products and misinformed choices will lead to rapid deterioration of the rest of your car (control arms, tie rods, tire wear, transmission misalignment followed by failure, ball joints, shocks etc.), so watch out!
