Hey guys, I was installing my spring/shocks the other day and noticed both my rear brake lines seems almost cut. I think it might be rubbing against the Stillen RSB but I'm not sure exactly why. Is it the bolt or is it the blue clamps? Anyone else having this issue?

Cause is obvious...

You may want to replace that line and protect the new one with wire wrap or loom like I did on my SS brake lines.... you may be able to "twist" the line so it is further away from the RSB bracket by "pretensioning" the attachment at the upper end of the hose...

 

Absolutely replace that line!

 

Get a new line and use a zip tie to pull it up and away from the bracket.

 

I don't understand why this happened when it was at stock height. Can I pick up the lines to both sides in the rear at any parts store or do I have to buy it in a kit or some sort?

 

It doesnt matter what height your at. That whole rear assembly moves up and down when you hit a bump or a dip in the road. You obviously ran over something big enough to push that bracket into the brake line. Just go buy a line from kragen or a local parts shop.

 

It's rubbing up against the Stillen RSB mount... the blue anodized "clamp"...

Replace it with OE type line or you could spring for complete set of braided lines anyways because you have to rebleed the brake system anyways...

 

I wonder if I could sand down the edge of the clamp so it won't happen again. Thanks guys for the responses!
