Hose threatened? (picture)

The hose being bent by the bar is in concern. #1, what is the black piece it is connected to, and #2, is there a way to adjust that piece to be out of the way?

Or is it really not a problem/in danger?

Bend the bracket.

When the engine revs it will want to tilt backward, it is hitting the bar as you drive.

I agree with fr33way, bend the bracket. That will certainly get broken one day when you gun it, and the motor leans back and that slaps right into the bar.

Those big hoses are holding that piece in TIGHT. The bracket metal just slips around the piece.

I'll try bending the hoses around. Took it for a 4k rpm test drive and it didn't get touched, but I'll figure out a precaution. Thanks for the info.

Bend the bracket. I did not and the black piece eventually broke from hitting the FSTB. I forget what it is, but I had to buy a new one.

when i looked at mounting my fstb, i noticed the mounts offset the bar either closer to the firewall & the brackets or if i switched the mounts to the other strut towers it would be offset toward the radiator away from the brackets. so of course i mounted it that way, away from anything.

That's why we need Jesse on the board. No one has figured out the Nos timing.

bend the bracket. My strut bar was rubbing that exact spot and it eventually rubbed a hole in that hose. So bend the bracket a little to avoid that.
