4th gen 95-96 ebay red/clears... who has em?

Hi,
I've tried search and perused the FAQs; I couldn't find anything on the red/clears offered by ebay vendors for 95-96 models.
Can anybody give me an opinion on value for money, quality, fitment, etc?

Thanks in advance.

i have them on. along with a couple org members. quality and money is all worth it. looks better on some colors than others in my opinion. (i have black) fitment is kinda an issue. it fits fine but the weatherstrip is annoying for the inner lights. i ended up ripping it off and putting black silicone gel to seal it up instead around the edges of the inner light

You got pics? I've been thinking of getting them and my Max is black so I wanted to see how they'd look first.

I love mine but they did take a little work. The studs on the new lights are longer so you will have to get some small washers to take up the extra space. Anything aftermarket isnt going to be perfect like factory just remember that lol. Except for that they are great

i also have a smoked pair from ebay had to grind down some of the plastic where the screws are in order to get the outer lamps to fit flush with the trunk. pain the butt but know its perfect. Also the housing for the light bulbs do not secure in place well at all.

I have them on the White Shadow and they look great. As another poster said, you'll need a few small washers because the mounting studs are too long and I used clear silicone to seal them as the weatherstripping that comes on them is a joke and you'll probably do better removing it entirely and using silicone. I used clear on my white car and you cant tell it's there at all unless you look for it very closely. No leaks so far.

Oh you have a 97. Since this thread is about 95-96 red/clears, I assumed you had those smoked. I have seen the 97-99 smoked tails, nothing new.

Skyline Tails

Does anyone think these tail light are worth buying? I am trying to find some tail lights for my maxima that look like the ones on the Nissan Skylines. I always liked the appearance of the double rounds.

I got sick of waiting for CE to make the red clears so I ended up getting these about 4 years ago, cheaper on ebay though.

a couple of minor fitment issues, but overall I really like them on my max. Honestly, I think the E-Bay ones are the same ones CE had for $100-150 more.

They are no longer made, they are originally just all clear outers by APC and painted to match. They are up for sale all the time. Heck some one is selling them a few posts up. Rare, expensive, but they look the best.

not all, I've seen the second gen altezzas look quite nice along with the skyline conversion, granted that the rest of it was blacked out so only the tail light would show... still it looked great to me...
