sunroof stuck on 1 side!

So yeah the sun roof is stuck on 1 side. I have the one that will just tilt UP, or slide BACK. I'm pretty sure it's stock. It looks like the little sliding mechanism on the driver side is stuck. Could it be the motor, or do both sides use the same motor to power the sunroof? I'm confused.

Any help is appreciated,
Thanks,

check the track. there may be debris or something stuck in it that's not allowing it to close.

The driver side is actually stuck CLOSED so i cant really see in there. Do you know if the driver and passenger side mechanisms use the SAME motor/regulator??? That way i can weed out any electrical issues.

If my memory serves me correct, our sunroofs are prone to cable problems. (Something about the way the cable wraps around something.) Both sides run on the same motor, but each side has a different cable. It could be debris on the track or even a damaged track, but my bet is on the cable.

In the how to's sticky there is a well laid out sunroof rebuild thread.

I bet he's right. When mine went out it seemed like the one side was stuck when the cable actually was broke on that side.
